O que é?

Nascido da vontade de empresários em fortalecer o setor do Turismo de Eventos na cidade, o Joinville e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau foi fundado em abril de 1997. O foco em captar eventos para a cidade é prática norteadora da instituição, que prima pela qualidade dos serviços para os eventos estabelecidos aqui.

Organizados, os empresários estabeleceram metas, foram ousados em profissionalizar e ampliar a infraestrutura que garantisse visitantes para o turismo de lazer e negócios. De início poucos associados apostaram na entidade. Passados os anos de atuação e compromisso, mais de 70 associados garantem atendimento às feiras e congressos captados através do Convention. Entre as organizações de relacionamento, estão os órgãos representativos, a Federação de Convention & Visitors a nível nacional e estadual. Desde 2003 é reconhecido como Utilidade Pública Municipal e posteriormente, teve um projeto de lei aprovado pela Assembléia Legislativa e pelo governador do Estado, no qual também recebeu o título Estadual.

Uma associação, mantida pela iniciativa privada que busca eventos para a cidade mais populosa e economicamente ativa de Santa Catarina.
The Joinville e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau was founded in April, 1997 as a result of our local entrepreneurs´s wish to develop the segment of business tourism and events. Prospecting and bringing new events to our city, the Bureau offers the highest level of service and quality standards for the events held in Joinville.
Organized according to the Bureau´s philosophy, the entrepreneurs were bold to increase and professionalize an infrastructure that would ensure visitors not only leisure tourism but business tourism as well. In the beginning only a few members believed in the institution. Nowadays, after years of intense activity and commitment, more than 70 members provide the events and exhibitions with quality services and supplies.
Among the Bureau´s network, there are representative organizations as well as federal and state Convention & Visitors Bureau Associations. Since 2003 it has been acknowledged as municipal public utility. Some time later a law project was approved by the State Legislature and by the Governor of the State of Santa Catarina, thus becoming also a state public utility. In 2009, due to the growth of the institution, the Joinville e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau became a member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), the most important representative organization and which has the world´s largest database.
Joinville e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau is an organization supported by public and private initiatives whose aim is to foster the events industry for the biggest and most economically active city in the state of Santa Catarina.
Missão

Estimular o fomento do turismo na região por meio de captação e apoio a eventos de diversos segmentos e abrangências, visando oferecer à iniciativa privada e ao poder público os inúmeros benefícios da atividade.
To promote the development of the local tourism by attracting and supporting events in different segments and areas offering private and public initiatives innumerous benefits resulting from this kind of activity.
